Inspired by the village of Laragh, Co. Wicklow in Ireland, Villaging refers to creating or fostering a community-like environment within an organisation. This is based on the idea of forming a cohesive, collaborative, and supportive community, similar to the close-knit nature of traditional villages. Here, employees and members of an organisation work together in a way that encourages shared responsibility, mutual support, and collective problem-solving. We think villaging can be the foundation of high wellbeing and high performing teams and organisations.
